Shem Blackley III, MD
Dr. Shem Blackley grew up in the Matthews and Charlotte area, with family roots in Shelby, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate studies at NC State University and earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University, followed by a residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and a fellowship in pediatric urology at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London.
Dr. Blackley has practiced in Shelby for many years, caring for patients in a community he knows well. He currently focuses on general and office-based adult urology.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling internationally with his wife and spending time with their two children, who have also chosen careers in healthcare.
